This Thursday, January 26th, Konami has updated the eFootball Championship Pro official website, revealing all the details of the 2023 season. The tournament will start on February 11, 2023.
As in the 2022 season, eight major European clubs will take part in professional e-football. Celtic and Galatasaray withdrew from the tournament, making way for AC Milan and Inter, new big cyberfootball partners.
The other six participating teams are Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Roma and defending champions Monaco.
The competition formula turns into a single chicken in which everyone will compete for seven days, from February to May. The clubs finishing this championship in the first two places will advance directly to the play-off semi-finals. The players ranked third through sixth will play in the playoffs. The last two will be removed. The playoffs will be held in the BO3 format (the first team to achieve two victories wins).
All matches will be played offline in a dedicated stadium in Barcelona and streamed live on the official eFootball Youtube channel.
