
Konami’s 30th Anniversary Celebration Kicks Off on eFootball
Thirty years ago, in June 1995, International Superstar Soccer (Jikkyō World Soccer: Perfect Eleven in Japanese) was released on the Super Nintendo. Konami had just written the first page of its football saga. Less than a year later, in the spring of 1996, the Japanese publisher released Goal Storm, also known as World Soccer Winning Eleven, which was the first game in the Pro Evolution Soccer/Winning Eleven series. eFootball Championship Open 2025 on eFootball
On July 21, the day of the eFootball Championship Open 2025 World Cup Final, Konami will host a festival in Tokyo celebrating three decades of its football video games. It will be the culmination of a month of celebrations around the game that began this Thursday, June 26.
As soon as the game launches, the player is greeted by a title screen that features memorable covers from the series, featuring Lionel Messi (see photo above), an ambassador for PES and then eFootball since 2009.
Special Campaign
A special campaign called the Nostaligia Campaign will be available until July 14 (or July 10 for some editions). This campaign will feature 25 lucky offers (by logging in daily and completing tasks) in which you can try to get Epic or Big Time cards featuring some of the most famous legends of the series, such as Adriano, Roberto Baggio, Gerard Pique, David Beckham, Ronaldinho and Frank Rijkaard.

You’ll also be able to earn a souvenir painting for your gallery, a PES badge and complete an in-depth skills training program. Throughout the campaign, daily penalty shootouts will feature graphics reminiscent of Goal Storm , and you’ll be able to progress through the squares faster.
The iconic 20th Anniversary T-shirt, which debuted in PES 2016 , is available in the Pack Shop for 100 coins.
Retro Event vs AI

Konami’s 30th Anniversary Celebration Kicks Off on eFootball
Over the next two weeks, you’ll see Goal Storm’s retro graphics in a race against the clock against the AI to score goals as quickly as possible, across multiple difficulty levels and featuring legendary Master League players.
Legends Event Another AI challenge pits you against a team of legendary players from Konami’s soccer games. You’ll need to win three increasingly difficult matches to earn the best rewards.
