Strike Arena is a project from Konami that was meant to remain secret, but it was done without the benefit of experienced data miners from the eFootball community.
This Thursday, December 5th, E FOOTBALLER and Durandil announced the presence in the eFootball version 4.2.0 game files of a new Strike Arena mode, which Konami has never announced before and which may appear soon.
A 3v3 game with a very arcade style, with acceleration of running and hitting, which can be played solo or in co-op, which should also be available in a friendly match.
Strike Arena Gameplay
The leak could have ended there, but we wanted to underestimate the curiosity of two of our friends who managed to get the new mode running on the patched 4.2.0 version on PC. Both shared some images here in the official release.
- No sliding or shoulder loads
- There are rewards after each match (but this did not work during his testing)
- No breaks during matches
- The release date is unknown, but it may be a weekly online event. What is present in the code is already fully playable.
In the published video and screenshots, we find many other elements of this mode:
- Players can be selected from a list of partner clubs, but some are blocked
- You can also choose the type of equipment to use (tracksuit, sleeveless down jacket or T-shirt)
- Matches last 2 minutes
- There are no outs or stoppages, the match is interrupted only by goals scored
- A special manga-style animation is launched at certain stages of the game
- The gauge allows you to deliver powerful blows once filled. The function is called “Overdrive”
- There are several styles of overdrives. Each player has one, the loading time of which can vary from 15 to 30 seconds
- It is a priori impossible to control the goalkeeper
- Having scored points after completing a series of passes, you get bonus points
- The mode includes training
- The ball falls from the sky with each kick of the ball, in the style of the Royal League
- As in the classic cooperative mode, at the end of each match, players are awarded
- A chat with pre-written phrases is available for communicating with other players in the room.
