What’s New in eFootball Version 4.4.0
The eFootball 4.4.0 update, billed as a “major” by Konami, has been available since Thursday, April 17, and brings a host of new features.
Here’s an overview of the major changes. A full list of additions and changes is available on the game’s official website.
Cross-platform play is finally here!
This was undoubtedly the most anticipated new feature of this update. Originally planned for 2022, cross-platform play has arrived in eFootball after three years. Playstation, Xbox, Windows and Steam players can now compete in all game modes, and there is now a single ranking for the eFootball League (online divisions) and ranking competitions (eFootball Championship Open, Club Events, etc.).
Mobile devices are not affected yet
Cross-platform support is enabled by default.
On Playstation and Steam, it can be disabled via the menu “Advanced > Game settings > Cross-platform”. On Microsoft versions, this is done in the console settings or in the Xbox PC app. The procedure is described in detail on this page.
Advanced Skill Training
A new type of skill training program allows you to focus on a specific type of skill out of five: shooting, passing, dribbling, defense, etc.

Deleting a Technique
Until now, the only way to make a player forget a learned technique was to overwrite it with another one. Now you can simply delete it.
Friends List
A new menu is accessible from the main game screen by pressing the left joystick. It allows you to add friends to the game who play on any platform (except mobile) by searching for their username, without using the social features of your platform. You can send invites through this menu or simply view your friends’ badges and records in the eFootball League (online divisions).
Additional connection information
An indicator of the stability of your connection and your opponent’s connection is now visible throughout the match in the top left corner of the screen next to the score. At the end of the match, you can also view a graph showing how your connection quality has changed throughout the match.

Multiple Discards When opening packs containing multiple players, you now have the option to immediately discard multiple cards at once.

Divisions vs. AI
You can now play eFootball League vs. AI. You can compete against teams made up of legendary Master League players, as well as teams from other players. The more you progress, the more difficult the game becomes.

eFootball League Goals
You can unlock new rewards by reaching eFootball League divisions for the first time in both modes (vs. AI or online). When you first log in after the update, you will immediately receive rewards for the divisions you have already reached in the past.
Several licenses are new or returning in this 4.4.0 release:
– The Uruguay national team is now officially licensed; The Brazilian Serie A returns in full, with the exception of Botafogo’s roster and the league’s official name and logo;
– Club America from Mexico and its iconic Estadio Azteca return under an official license;
– Updated data for the Brazilian Serie B and USL (US second division).
Smart Assist in all modes
The new, highest level of assistance in the game, which has only been tested for a few months in Event Mode and certain Ranked Events, is now available in all modes, including Competitive. Smart Assist will be enabled by default when creating a new account.
More efficient passes
Players’ passing abilities now have a greater impact on matches. Higher passing abilities will provide greater accuracy and reduce the time it takes to strike the ball.
Better Kick-Off Defense
Changes have been made to ensure that defenders are not easily beaten immediately after kick-off.
