eFootball 2024 on PlayStation is a popular game in Europe

Despite the still reduced content, eFootball continues to attract new audiences. This is evidenced by the figures released on October 6 by Sony on the official Playstation blog.

In Europe, eFootball 2024 was the second most popular free-to-play game on PS4 and PS5 combined, behind Fortnite. Konami’s football simulator beat out the hugely popular Call of Duty: Warzone, Rocket League and Fall Guys.

eFootball 2024 Number one in Brazil

In Brazil, eFootball 2024 is the most downloaded game of the month according to data published on X (formerly Twitter). It also takes a respectable seventh place in the Playstation Store rankings in the US and Canada.

Record revenues on mobile devices
Konami is expected to release its financial results for the second quarter of its fiscal year (which runs from April to March next year) on November 2.

And it’s looking pretty good for eFootball, according to Peruvian YouTuber John Rojas, who is widely followed by the Latin American community, who reports that the mobile version of eFootball 2024 alone brought in $21 million in revenue for September 2023 alone (not counting revenue from the Chinese version), increasing by 90% compared to August.

Numbers that even surpass those of Professional Baseball Spirits, the mobile game typically Konami’s most profitable.
