FFF signs 'exclusive' partnership with Konami until 2026

Konami and the French Football Federation announced Thursday, August 11, that they have signed an “exclusive” partnership until 2026.

“Les Bleus will unify the eFootball series and FFF will be linked to a number of international eSports events,” the federation said on its official website. “This contract includes image and activation rights allowing Konami to become the official partner of the French football video game team.”

“FFF is delighted to welcome KONAMI as the official partner of the French video game team,” said François Wasser, FFF Marketing Director. “We strive to innovate and offer football and gaming fans the best experience. The Konami experience is a great opportunity to accelerate the growth of esports in France.”

“The eFootball series continues to evolve. Partnering with FFF, the world champion, a reference nation in football that has a rich history and culture, is a real opportunity for Konami,” says Noaki Morita, European President of Konami Digital Entertainment BV.

The FFF press release did not specify what exactly the “exclusivity” refers to and when it will take effect.
