Early this Wednesday, August 16, the first images of eFootball 2024 appeared on X (ex-Twitter) broadcast by Malaysian media. The journalists were able to attend a “media launch” hosted by Konami at a shopping mall in Pelaying Jaya, a suburb of the capital Kuala Lumpur.

For the occasion, a new artistic direction was introduced: Lionel Messi is still the ambassador, but is emerging from the yellow on blue background so hated by many players, present since September 2021. Now give way to shapes filled with a gradient of vibrant colors that seem to fade from sky blue to purple against a dark background, according to a photo shared by Malaysian journalist Dianial Hasri who attended the event.

This journalist explains that he was able to play the eFootball 2024 demo. Of the teams available, only FC Bayern and Manchester United were available. The game seemed to him “much more flexible and fluid than before.”

“There aren’t many graphical changes,” he says, adding that some of the animations have been improved and feel more “instant”. This demo was playable on consoles and mobile devices.

In another image, we can see the flags flying in the stands at Old Trafford, which gives hope for a little effort on the side of the atmosphere in the stadiums.

The English-language Malaysian online publication Gamerbraves reports that members of the eFootball development team gave a presentation on new features, graphics and game mechanics “that will make the game stand out from the competition.”

Konami representatives indicated that they appreciated the feedback from the community and took it into account in order to implement these famous innovations, which we still know little about.

Finally, a match was played on stage between local celebrities in this new version of eFootball.
